Sandy is an International development Research, Evaluation, Monitoring and Learning (RMEL) professional. She is well-practiced in designing and delivering tailored RMEL training and support at programme and organisational levels, especially proficient at theory-based evaluation approaches and strengthening learning. Effectively promoting agendas and practices for MEL system strengthening and improvement. Robust experience of setting up MEL systems and meeting donor MEL policies and procedures for large multi-country contracts: DfiD, Irish Aid, EC. Passionate and skilled in facilitating participatory and citizen lead approaches to REML and co-generated knowledge. Alongside an MSc in International Social Development and IPA in Social Research Methods, Sandy has designed and managed a range of research and evaluation projects in the UK and extensively internationally. She has done this in various capacities, Senior MEL consultant and Team lead, Global MEL Advisor, Africa Regional MEL Coordinator and Research Manager based in Mozambique and has extensive field experience. Sandy is skilled at tailoring monitoring, evaluation and research results to be accessible, usable and audience appropriate in order to affect evidence-based change and programmatic adaptation.
