Ellie joined the NIRAS EU Framework Contracts unit in February 2020 after completing an MSc in Environment and Development where she conducted dissertation research on community-based natural resource management for marine areas in Tanzania and Madagascar. She works primarily in SIEA 2018 Lot 1 – Sustainable Management of Natural Resources and Resilience, and Lot 3 – Human Rights, Democracy and Peace. Given the interdisciplinary nature of her academic background her interests are wide ranging but largely focus on the intersection of human development and wellbeing, environmental sustainability and conservation.
