Problem
JBIC needed to learn lessons from this experience to inform investments in forestry in the future.
Solution
LTS provided a social forestry specialist to review the sustainability aspects of the joint forest management approach to farm forestry. A review was undertaken of the institutional capacity of the Rajasthan Forest Department to deliver a joint forest management approach.
Benefits
Generic lessons were identified to inform JBICs future support to social forestry in India.
