Forest Resources Management and Conservation Programme (Appraisal and Formulation)

LTS International provided a team that undertook a rigorous assessment of the technical, social, environmental and economic feasibility of the proposed project and produced a financing document.  A more sophisticated, flexible and site-specific approach was recommended. Detailed social and environmental appraisals were undertaken at each potential site along with capacity building to re-establish effective, professional field-level forest management. Particular attention was paid to the feasibility of the plantation component within local conditions. The team assessed the Nature Conservation Master Plan recommending mechanisms for its implementation and stressing the potential long-term advantages of collaborative approaches.
