Fiji, Identifying sites of global biodiversity conservation importance for the Fiji BSAP - Mid Term Review, DEFRA

A Mid Term Review of Darwin Initiative project 11-022 “Identifying sites of global biodiversity conservation importance for the Fiji BSAP” was conducted by ECTF with a field visit to Fiji over the period of 11-22 February 2005. The MTR was conducted in parallel to ex-post evaluation of two closed Darwin Projects in Fiji. Project 11-022 was implemented by Birdlife International in conjunction with local partners the University of the South Pacific, Department of Environment and the National Trust for the Fiji Islands. These local stakeholders were represented on the Project Steering Committee. The project was selected for review to assess the effectiveness of the IBA process in supporting the objectives of the CBD and to review issues of project management identified through the standard Darwin reporting cycle.
