This evaluation of closed Darwin Initiative projects in Sabah, Malaysia, found that the projects evaluated have had a remarkable impact on both habitat and species conservation in Sabah particularly by a) contributing to the establishment of two new protected areas of global importance, and b) demonstrating the conservation and biodiversity value of even very small forest fragments.
