Communication, Learning and Knowledge Communication, learning and knowledge (CLeaK) focuses on building the capacity of individuals to successfully adapt within our changing world. It is a process of generating, articulating and sharing pertinent information to best synthesize practical new knowledge. This continuous cycle of knowledge production helps not only to influence social change, but also to improve the quality of peoples’ daily lives.

Key Services we provide include: 

  • Generation of information through research, policy and social analysis, case studies and stories, think pieces and policy briefings;
  • Facilitation of processes through mediation, independent facilitation and workshops;
  • Capacity enhancement through analysis of behaviour change, Training Needs Assessment, coaching and institutional strengthening;
  • Communication strategies, translation and synthesis of information/experience into useful documents for communication and engagement;
  • Information management and the development of websites and databases for communication and learning.
 

Managing knowledge and communications for effective learning… 

Emerging environmental, economic and political issues not only significantly impact societies, but, more importantly, individuals. As pressures increase for people to shift their ways of thinking and living, LTS is there to help ease such transitions. We believe it is possible to adapt to change through learning processes, while simultaneously maintaining traditional knowledge and cultural values. 

Our CLeaK service offers expertise on all parts of the learning process from information generation, to synthesis, to reflection on lessons learnt. We recognise that help is often needed to process information into knowledge and we are skilled providers of capacity building initiatives including training, coaching and mentoring for institutions and individuals. LTS also facilitates improved engagement between stakeholders, in order to best share information to generate new knowledge. Our services include communication and dissemination through written and other media, environmental and development education, social marketing approaches, dialogue processes and events. 

The key to our approach is our holistic view: we view our services as part of one greater process – “learning for change”.
