Following the success of the first regional Darwin Initiative workshop held in Tanzania in 2008, LTS is delighted to provide further support to Defra to organise and deliver this second, and far larger, Regional Darwin Initiative Workshop in Brazil. The workshop will celebrate all the biodiversity conservation work funded by the Darwin Initiative in South and Central America since it was launched at the Earth Summit in back in Rio in 1992. The event, to be held in November 2009, is being co-hosted by the Chico Mendes Institute at the Serra dos Orgaos National Park near Rio de Janeiro.
