Qualifications M.Sc. Biodiversity, Conservation and Management, University of Oxford, 2006. B.Sc. (Hons) University of Aberdeen, 2000. Nicholas joined LTS in April 2008 as a business development co-ordinator and consultant. He has worked in Europe, North America, Asia, Africa and Antarctica for a variety of organisations from Governmental to Not for Profit. He combines several years of experience as a scientific researcher and conservationist with a strong business outlook and his consultancy work is mainly in the areas of biodiversity and protected areas. He offers strong research and report writing, data analysis, and policy analysis skills. Author and co-author of many peer-reviewed papers, he has also prepared and presented reports for the European Commission, the Convention on International Trade of Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), the Commission on the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) and UNEP. Nicholas also reviews Defra's Darwin Initiative projects at annual and final report stage for effectiveness, impact & management, producing recommendations for future project focus & activities. Nicholas is fully bilingual English-French with good knowledge of Spanish. |  |
