John has 26 years experience as a management and forestry specialist, focusing on policy, institutional, financial and management issues within the forest products and forestry sector. He has extensive experience in the private sector, managing projects and provision of support to institutional restructuring in Africa and Eastern Europe. He is highly experienced in business analyses, feasibility studies, development of strategic plans, business plans, research and analysis of markets, investment appraisals, the assessment of forest resources and factories environmental appraisals, and the development of forest management plans. These have been implemented in forest management companies, timber harvesting companies, timber transport operations, pulp and paper mills, and other wood processing factories. John was previously Managing Director of LTS for 5 years and now remains a close associate with the company.
