Over the past 6 years, Anna has advised NGOs and Governments on the design and implementation of socio economic policy within the field of Environment and Development. As team leader for DFID funded studies, she has identified ethical markets for forest goods and services and their realistic potential to improve rural livelihoods. Anna has assessed the viability of voluntary certification schemes and the potential for implementation of systems of payments for environmental services in Ghana, Grenada and Mexico. Her most recent assignment is as consultant for our 'Science and Technology for Development in Africa' project. She is providing technical support in the drafting of a series of studies that will inform the University of Edinburgh and the African Union's New Partnership for Africa's Development on key areas where Science &Technology research could help tackle Development goals. She has key skills in stakeholder engagement and in assimilating their diverse needs, which she has used extensively within the forestry field.
